Neilsen Diaries were delivered, and FOX 5 Mornings took the top spot in households 25 to 49 and women 25 to 49. These are the key demos adsvertisers use to buy airtime for commercials. Fox 5 was in 4th place before my arrival to the show. Good team chemistry and a consistently solid show are reasons for the sudden rise.

DEAN CAIN: Visited with me live to chat about his former Co-star Teri Hatcher getting snubbed by the Emmy judges. He also chatted about the popularity of Superman Returns. Dean is on the popular NBC show Las Vegas... but also starred in Lois and Clark back in the 90's.
NE-YO visits Fox 5: Top R&B singer Neyo visited Fox 5 on Wednesday July 5th. He has been #1 on the Billboard Charts, performed at the BET awards recently and is about to tour with grammy nominee Chris Brown. Neyo was raised in Las Vegas.

Miss Texas Summary...in my own words
Miss Houston Wins for 2nd year in a row
Just when I thought I've done everything on TV... up pops the biggest statewide beauty pageant in the nation. It was a great reason to return to Texas. Even though I hung out with 132 beautiful young ladies, it was still hard work. There was very little down time and understanding the blocking as emcee was a lot to learn in just a couple of days. Plus every contestant seemed to pronounce their name or city/county different than I've ever heard. It's a Texas thing.
My Co-host Kandace Krueger Matthews and I worked really well together. And, Mandy J from season 5 The Bachelor, (my bud from Austin) wrote a great script. Miss Texas Teen USA Raevan Valadez and 2006 Miss Texas Lauren Lanning rounded out the hosting duties. Everyone was awesome. And the production staff was top notch.
The first contestant I made eye contact with on Friday, actually won the whole thing. Miss Houston Magen Ellis was placed next to me and was choreographed to put her hand on my shoulder during the show open. I was really impressed with her beauty and charm. Especially once I found out she was only 19! As happy as I was for Magen, I was equally as disappointed for Crystle the runner up. She has been the runner up several times and can't seem to get over the hump. However, I believe there is a reason why... and it is only a matter of time before we all figure out why.
The best part of the evening was when it was down to the final 2 ladies, Magen and Crystle. They were expecting me to make a joke just seconds before announcing the winner. They were NOT expecting me to pull a double whammy by pulling a "We'll find out After the Break" folllowed by a "oops wrong show"
DENNIS HOPPER: Easy Rider himself stopped by Fox 5 to chat about his favorite roles... his involvement with CineVegas, and his fondness of Las Vegas.
ARTIE LANGE: From the Howard Stern Show popped in to plug his movie "Beer League." Other cast members came too. After the interview, it was easier to digest why Stern had so many problems with the FCC.
MISS TEXAS USA® PAGEANT
RETURNS FOR 3RD TELECAST FROM LAREDO
In June 2006, over 100 outstanding young Texas women will travel to the Gateway City of Laredo, Texas to compete for the coveted title of MISS TEXAS USA. The two-time Emmy Award-winning live show will be telecast at 8 – 10pm on Sunday, June 25, 2006, from the state-of-the-art Laredo Entertainment Center to more than 8.5 million households throughout Texas.
Hosting the show will be five-time Emmy Award nominee, Jason Feinberg, currently with E! Entertainment. Former Miss Texas USA titleholders, Kandace Krueger Matthews (Miss USA 2001) and Stephanie Guerrero (2004) will co-host. Returning to crown her successor will be the reigning Miss Texas USA, Lauren Lanning. Special guests include Raevan Valadez, Miss Texas Teen USA 2006, and the Texas A&M University Singing Cadets.
The current Miss Texas USA received a prize and gift package worth over $100,000, including a brand new 2006 Ford Mustang, cash, a full length mink coat from the Fur Salon at Saks Fifth Avenue, gold and diamond jewelry, travel, wardrobe, and much more.

Ratings History Made: Fox 5 Mornings hit all time viewership during the May Sweeps Period. The News team celebrated with ice cream sundae's from Sammy's Woodfired Pizza. Dessert at 9 AM!!! A kid's dream.
May 30th: Lorenzo Lamas surprised us in studio with Playboy Playmate Barbara Moore. They drove in on a morotcycle to promote "Headlights and Tailpipes" at the Stardust. We had fun mentioning Lorenzo's first role in Grease. He is currently on "The Bold and the Beautiful"
May 29th: Hit the streets on Memorial Day to cover the Ronald McDonald House Race for the House 5K an fun walk. Interviewed Ronald and laid on ground as racers tried to not trample me... all for a good cause.
Reverend Jesse Jackson pays a visit to Fox 5. We didn't do anything wrong! He wasn't actually booked, but he heard us talking about him, and decided to come by to chat about his Rainbow Coalition. Jesse also got a kick out of Heidi and I talking about my sideburns on Elvis American Idol day. He digs the burns!

CINEVEGAS FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES LAS VEGAS
LOCALS AS MEMBERS OF SHORTS JURY
LAS VEGAS – David Schmoeller, Jason Feinberg and Teller are the three Las Vegas locals who will be the sole members of the Shorts Jury for the CineVegas Film Festival and will decide who will be awarded the $1,000 cash prize for Best Short. In addition, a separate jury will decide who will be awarded the Grand Jury Award and $10,000 cash prize for Feature Film, marking the first time in its history that CineVegas will be awarding cash prizes to films.
David Schmoeller is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Film at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he is also founder and director of the UNLV Short Film Archive. Jason Feinberg is the newest addition to the Fox 5 morning news team and has just reached his 14th year in television news. Teller has been the smaller, quieter half of Penn & Teller since 1975. Their critically acclaimed stage show enjoys a full-time home at The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
“CineVegas is thrilled at the prospect of having Las Vegas locals make up our Shorts Jury,” said Trevor Groth, director of programming for the CineVegas Film Festival. “These three gentlemen are very different from each other, but are all experts in their respective fields, and will provide an exciting new aspect to the judging at this year’s festival.”

Nev. St. Athletic Director Marc Ratner... Responsible for deciding punishments for recent melee in the ring between Floyd Maywether and Zab Judah's corners. You may recall, he also lowered the hammer on Mike Tyson...who still is not allowed to box in Nevada.
David Brenner: Veteran Comedian stopped by to talk about his new show with funnyman George Wallace.
UNLV head coach Lon Kruger. Stopped by to talk UNLV recruitment and broke down the Tourney. He turned around the Florida basketball program...who this year won the whole championship.
March 30th TRAIN: Train's Patrick Monahan, Jimmy Stafford and Brandon Bush played a mini-concert in studio. Hits included "Meet Virginia" "Cab" "Get Out" and more. Train later played at the Palms Hotel.

January 25 - Feb 1: Vienna, Prague, Budapest in a week
While most Americans visit Western Europe, Yours truly decided to trace his roots back to Hungary. Budapest is an amazing city, but I did not locate any long lost relatives. I did get ripped off several times by cab drivers. Vienna (Wien) and Prague (Praha) were also amazing. I highly recommend visiting these cities. Most people speak at least a little English, and there are Internet Cafe's all over the place. Here are some pictures Also, I posted the emails I sent home while on the trip. for now AUF WIEDERSCHAUEN!
DAY ONE
I won't get all Anne Frank on your butts, but I wanted to let you know Vienna (Wien) is great and freezing. I did some night time sight seeing and noticed the shops are about 80% completely foreign...which I like. They do have Foot Locker, Nike Vienna, McDonalds and of course Starbucks! I told the barista I came all the way from LA to come to Starbucks. She thought I was serious and said she was nervous to make my coffee. The nightlife is on Stephansplatz. (platz = place I think) I talked to Markus the doorman at a bar last night. He was excited about his new girlfriend who is a gogo dancer at a Discoteque. I met her. She is also an opera singer. Sounds a lot like Hollywood. They have a version of E! playing on TV, but it doesn't have the word E! so they thought I was crazy. I haven't told anyone Arnold is my Governor yet. I almost went to see Match Point, but a nice old lady told me it's all in German, not even English subtitles. Today, I'll head to the Museum Quarter and more shopping. It's officially Mozarts birthday today. But I don't think the bastard is going to show. It's too cold for a 250 year old man!

DAY TWO:
Like most tourists, I walked all day long. St. Stephans Cathedral was by far the most impressive. I think better than Notre Dame in Paris. Mozarts birthday was big... as he favored Vienna over Straussberg anyway. And all the archetecture is amazing. The best was my evening. With the exception of my camera being stolen :(
I went to a bar called Kitch, then Kactus, then a hot night club called Passage. A guy named Atilla
befriended me, and I went with him from Kactus to Passage. He was with one other guy and two girls. One
looked like Justine Bateman... who she is not familiar with. The girls are gorgeous, and all have one thing in
common. They are 19 years old and live with their parents. NO JOKE. Am I old or are they very young? The Justine Bateman girl has the same birthday as me. Except she was born in 1986!!! I told her to come to
Vegas for her 21st. She said she's only turning 20 and would have to ask her mom.
I will say, they were all very mature for being young. I actually didn't feel out of place. Atilla will be
training in hotel management in San Diego for 18 months. So some of you may meet him. Headed to Prague
now. It's about 1PM Saturday as I write this. Still freezing. Hopefully they'll speak English as well as the

DAY 3
I'll keep it short because it's Sunday...and no one is checking email. Prague is even colder than Vienna. Haven't seen anything during the day yet, but last night I went for a jog, where I think my contact lenses started to form Icycles. I saw a pretty big picture of the colonel... that read
KFC 2 KM. It wasn't as big as Saddam or the Ayatolla, but Czechs take their chicken seriouly I guess. Kind of like Will Ferrell in Old School. Anyway headed to the castles now.
DAY 4 & 5
Hey everybody
Prague is the most amazing city. Hard to believe they were communist not too long ago. However no Starbucks. Every corner you turn there is something more and more incredible. My camera was one casualty of the trip, so I bought a disposable. Which is stupid because my pictures dont do any of these cities justice. The food is spectacular, and Hungarian wine is great. Budapest is the least toured of the 3 cities, but It has real potential. Everything is grand. I asked a taxi driver what one palacial looking structure was... and he said
its a hotel. I eluded a pick pocketer in a Prague train station... and got thoroughly ripped off by just about everyone in Budapest. I think there is a statue of Attila the Hun, so Im off to get a picture next to him

January 2006: Continued talks to host a Las Vegas Morning Show on Fox. After auditions and an extensive interview process, both parties agreed to a long term deal to host "Fox News This Morning" on KVVU TV Fox 5. Start date is sometime in early February.
December 31st New Years Eve: Shannon hosted a party at Tangerine, inside the Treasure Island. Once again a VIP room. Lance Bass and several actor friends joined Shannon for the countdown. Because Shannon was contracted by Treasure Island, we were not allowed to go to some of the competing shindigs. Like Paris Hilton's party at Tao, Kid Rock's party at Jet, Nikki Hilton's party at Pure or Kanye West's bash at the Alladin. So, we all wound up at Drais, inside the Barbary Coast. Christian Lassen the famous painter joined us, and same with my agent Alec Shankman, and Ch. 4's Ted Chen.
December 30th: Black Eyed Peas concert at Mandalay. Went with Shannon Elizabeth, her friend Bob and my friend Sonki. Shannon went back stage and chatted with the band. Later Will, the lead singer, showed up to a club we were at and hung out with us. Shannon also had a VIP table at Pure Nightclub in Caesars Palace.
December 29: Opening night of Tryst Nightclub at the Wynn Hotel.
December 8th: NBC/Universal Party w private screening of "King Kong" Went with Channel 4 Anchor/Reporter Ted Chen, Channel 4 reporter Gordon Takamatsu, Fox 5 Vegas Weekend Anchor Lorraine Blanco and her friend Mari from KNSD in San Diego. Once again cold night. Most of the party was the screening, but there was a dinner held outdoors. We all loaded up on the free cookies and treats before heading into the show. Movie was good, but long.
December 6th: E! Christmas party. Held in Hollywood. Cold night so heat lamps were a must outside. CEO Ted Harbert lead a lengthy raffle...in which I won nada! DJ was pretty good and saw a lot of old familiar faces.
December 2nd: Side project WWW.DesperateHouseHounds.com gets first media coverage on radio station "The Phoenix 1450" in Wilkes-Barre PA. Topics touched on included The Arfstrong Neckie (partnership w/ Shannon Elizabeth's Animal Avengers charity) and the Soap Opera "Dog Days of Our Lives"

November 17TH: Inked a deal to Host the Miss USA Texas Pageant in Laredo, TX in June. Will be Co-hosting with Former Miss Texas' Kandace Krueger and Stephanie Guerrero.
November 9th: Resumed duties hosting Comcast "On Demand" at the E! Studios.
October 26th: Starting with GOTV. A V-cast service for Sprint cell phone users. I'll be doing entertainment reports which will be streaming onto people's cell phones. Wave of the future if you ask me.
October 15th: Lance Bass, Ashton Kutcher & Kathy Griffin joined dozens of Hollywood stars to raise money for Hurricane Katrina. The fundraiser was at the new Empire Ballroom in Vegas. The after party was at Tao in the Venetian Hotel. Amongst the bids... Lance pledged 30 grand for a private snowboarding lesson with bandmate Justin Timberlake. See celeb pics for more.
October 8th: Went to Shannon Elizabeth's Charity Fundraiser for Animal Avengers (click) Animal Avengers Poker Tournament up Benedict Canyon in Beverly Hills. very nice! (see celeb pics for more)
